Promoting Construction at SATRO’s BEfest

Last week, Alex Crane, Marketing Executive, and Garry Bhela, Pre-Construction Manager at MCS, attended SATRO’s BEfest at Surrey sports park to enlighten students on career paths and opportunities available in the built environment.

BEfest is an annual careers day run by SATRO, a charity that partners with schools and businesses to deliver STEM-focused opportunities for young people. The day was full of interactive workshops and honest careers talks with students interested in the industry. They got to try hands-on project examples and understand the process of a construction site from start to finish.

At MCS, we are passionate about showing that a career in construction is for everyone from all backgrounds and experiences. By taking part in careers fairs and education initiatives in our local community, we are helping students gain a better understanding of the industry, explore future career paths, and see the positive impact they could make within the sector.
