The critical refurbishment and fit out works for Forest Research at their Alice Holt Research Station in Farnham, Surrey, is now complete.
MCS was appointed to carry out these fast-track refurbishment works to the top floor of their 1970’s building, by converting the dated laboratories into a fresh and modern open-plan office with meeting rooms.
These works involved removal of all laboratory equipment, a soft strip out, significant M&E adaptations, joinery, glazed partitions, plastering, decorations, acoustic minipod installations, FF&E and floor finishes.
Now complete, the new bright and spacious office area will be able to accommodate over 50 people, in order for them to continue researching and providing essential advice in the areas of: ecology, sustainability, biodiversity and climate change.
Upon completion, Justin Whiteman, Managing Director of MCS, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide a truly sustainable solution for Forest Research and deliver these essential refurbishment and fit out works, to enable the buildings continued functionality.”
“We are extremely proud of the project's outcome, which was finished 2-weeks ahead of schedule, and we would like to extend our gratitude to Forest Research and the entire delivery team.”
These vital works were delivered in collaboration with Contract Administrators, AtkinsRéalis; Project Architects, Architon LLP and framework provider, Pagabo.
