Work Experience 2026

Last week, we welcomed Sayfuddin, a student at Woking College, to our office for a week of work experience, giving him the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the construction industry.

During his time at MCS, Sayfe gained hands-on experience across a range of departments, including estimating, surveying, and site management.

Reflecting on his experience at MCS, Sayfe commented “I’ve had a few work experiences and this is the best one so far. It’s been very informative and I’ve spoken to people in different areas of construction, from pre-construction to post-construction. This will help me going forward with my interest in civil engineering.”

At MCS, we are committed to inspiring the next generation of construction leaders through initiatives such as careers fairs and work experience placements. With the number of young people entering the construction industry dwindling, it is more important than ever that we challenge the stereotypes surrounding construction and continue to showcase it as a vibrant, progressive industry, with a vast range of opportunities available.
