Oakwood School Project Update

The transformation of Oakwood Secondary School’s gymnasium continues at great pace, bringing the facility closer to its much-anticipated reopening.

The roof works are progressing well, with Britmet metal sheet system installed and timber decking fully installed on top. This has allowed for a vapour control layer, the flat board insulation, and underlay.

All of the flat board insulation has been installed all the way to the box gutter location which is to be a BAUDER tapered gutter insulation.

Inside the gymnasium, redecoration is well underway, this includes all walls and steelwork. Simultaneously, lighting installations are progressing, setting the stage for the much-anticipated timber floor replacement.

With completion scheduled for the spring, this refurbishment will provide modernised, safer, and more durable facilities for students and staff alike - ensuring the gymnasium remains a vibrant and welcoming space for years to come!
