Contract Award - The Link

We are pleased to announce that MCS has been appointed to deliver a new project at The Link located at Grade II Listed St Bartholomew’s Church in Haslemere, Surrey.

Commissioned by the Parochial Church Council of Haslemere and delivered in close collaboration with Thomas Ford and Partners, Cooper Withycombe, and the CHP Group, this project involves a comprehensive refurbishment and vertical extension of the existing single-storey building.

The works will include the construction of a new upper floor, integrated within a reconfigured roof structure, to provide a welcoming reception area and a range of meeting rooms. The design prioritises accessibility, featuring step-free entrances, a lift to the upper level, and fully accessible toilet facilities. Additional enhancements include a new kitchen and high-quality, durable finishes throughout, ensuring a practical yet inviting environment.

This transformation will make better use of the existing space, greatly increasing capacity and functionality to support the church’s day-to-day activities, while also responding to the growing need for affordable, flexible community space in Haslemere.
