As part of our commitment to creating meaningful social value in the communities we work in, MCS was proud to donate £500 to local charity The Hope Hub through our Surrey County Council project at Portesbery School.
Last week, our Managing Director, Justin Whiteman, visited The Hope Hub to see first-hand the incredible work the charity does to support people experiencing homelessness across Surrey Heath.
During the visit, Justin met with Gemma Johnston, Head of Grants/Fundraising & Marketing, who explained just how far a donation can go. MCS’s contribution will help provide up to 10 nights of hotel accommodation for a vulnerable individual or pay for 166 warm lunches at their Day Services.
Last year alone, the charity supported 277 people through services including food parcels, emergency essentials, wellbeing support, advocacy, money management, and emergency accommodation.
Partnerships like this demonstrate the real difference businesses and charities can make when working together. We’re proud to support organisations like The Hope Hub and remain committed to leaving a positive impact in every community where we work.
