A New Community Hub for Haslemere

The MCS team was delighted to attend the Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication at St Bartholomew’s Church in Haslemere, celebrating the opening of the new Link Community Hub.

Delivered on behalf of the Parochial Church Council of Haslemere, and through close collaboration with Thomas Ford & Partners, Cooper & Withycombe, and CHP Group, the new hub will provide a valuable resource for the local community, offering flexible and affordable spaces for hire whilst also supporting the church’s day-to-day activities.

Originally a Victorian schoolhouse, The Link has been thoughtfully transformed to meet the needs of the local community. The building now features a spacious ground-floor hall available for a wide range of activities, alongside first-floor office accommodation that will be home to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Accessibility has been at the heart of the project, with the installation of a lift providing access to the first floor, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and fully accessible bathroom facilities. The hub is connected to the church by a striking oak archway, whilst the entrance wall incorporates reclaimed bricks from the original building, creating a prominent link to its heritage.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who played a part in bringing this vision to life, including:
