We are delighted to have achieved another “Excellent” rating from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) for our work at Portesbery School in Deepcut, Camberley.

On 5th June 2026, MCS welcomed CCS’s monitor, Richard Breen to site to review how the project is being delivered with full consideration to the local community, the environment and our workforce. Following his visit, in his report, Richard commented “A professionally managed project with the Senior Site Manager embracing the new Scheme checklist requirements.”

The score follows a detailed inspection of all aspects of the project, including our respect for the local community, environmental protection measures, site appearance, and the value placed on our workforce. MCS achieved a fantastic 86%, adapting swiftly to CCS’s updated checklist and grading system.

In response to the positive feedback, Rob Medlicott, Senior Site Manager at MCS, said “I’m very pleased to have achieved an 86% score which is a fantastic result and a true reflection of the hard work, commitment, and high standards consistently shown by everyone on site. This is the first time we’ve done a CCS visit with the new checklist requirements, and I’m extremely proud of the team effort that went into achieving this score. It was also a pleasure to welcome Richard Breen on site and we look forward to working with CCS again in the future.”

The new satellite school site is being delivered for Surrey County Council, in collaboration with Norse Group.
