Works are fully underway at The Gatwick School, where the MCS team is delivering the refurbishment of a vacant commercial unit, transforming it into a modern, versatile space that will serve as both an exam hall and sports facility.
Progress so far has involved the installation of a new base layer of brickwork to the external walls, preparing the area for screeding and floor levelling works. A new air conditioning system is also being installed to provide effective climate control, ensuring the space is comfortable for year-round use.
The next phase of the project will include the demolition of an existing wall to accommodate the installation of a sliding partition door, creating a flexible layout that can be adapted to suit the school’s needs. This will be followed by first fix electrical works, screeding, and dry lining.
Delivered on behalf of Aurora Academies Trust, the completed project will provide students with a high-quality, fully compliant exam and sports hall.
