Women in Construction Week 2026

Yesterday marked the start of Women in Construction Week 2026 (1 - 7 March).

Women currently make up approximately 15% of the UK construction workforce, with approximately 2% working on-site. These figures highlight the importance of creating opportunities and pathways for women across the industry.

At MCS, we are committed to encouraging more women to join construction in a variety of roles and fostering an inclusive workplace where women are supported, respected, and empowered to grow. Through mentorship, leadership development, and diverse career opportunities, we actively encourage women to pursue fulfilling careers in construction.

This week, we’re proud to host a Lunch & Learn for our team in celebration of International Women’s Day, providing a space for open, insightful discussions on the challenges women face in the workplace and how we can best support their growth and success.
