Roof Installed at Smithers Laboratory

The MCS team has been making excellent progress at Smithers Laboratory in Leatherhead.

Following the successful erection of the steel frame, the team moved on to commencing with the brickwork which has now been completed, with the perimeter wall reaching optimal height for wall cladding to begin.

Flooring works are also progressing at pace; the ground floor slab has been poured and is now awaiting a resin finish to be applied on top to provide a durable, high-quality surface suitable for the facility’s operational needs.

Additionally, roof works have also commenced, beginning with the installation of scaffolding and safety netting to ensure secure access for the team whilst roof panelling is in progress.

Looking ahead, once the roof panelling, wall cladding, and resin flooring are complete, the team will move into the decoration phase – the next key milestone in delivering this exciting project.
