Progression at The Link Community Hub

At The Link Community Hub in Haslemere, the MCS team is making excellent progress across the site.

Internally, drylining is now fully complete on the upper floor and advancing rapidly on the ground floor. Plastering works have commenced upstairs, with downstairs set to follow once drylining is finished.

Externally, careful restoration has been carried out on the deteriorated windowsills, blending seamlessly with the existing structure and preserving the building’s character. The zinc roofing on the sheltered pathway between the church and the hub has now been completed, and the remaining new windows have been installed.

At the front of the building, a new wall is being constructed to form the entrance pathway, which will incorporate a disabled ramp for step-free access. In line with MCS’s commitment to heritage and sustainability, the wall is being built using original stones from the old structure. This approach maintains the building’s visual aesthetic while reducing waste by repurposing materials.

Looking ahead, once drylining and plastering works are complete, the team will begin flooring installation and internal decorations - key milestones that will bring the vision for the new community hub closer to life.
