Today marks Microvolunteering Day 2026, a great opportunity to recognise the value of giving back and the positive impact even small actions can have on our communities. These small acts of generosity can include something as small as sharing a charitable social media post, to dedicating your day to helping others. At MCS, we know that volunteering plays an important role in creating stronger, more connected communities. It’s not just something we support, it’s something we actively encourage.
In the spirit of Microvolunteering Day, Leo Willis, Management Trainee, and Adrian Rumble, Commercial Director, chose to dedicate some of their time to testing their vocabulary skills via freerice.com, an initiative created by the United Nation’s World Food Programme. Free Rice donates life-saving food for every vocabulary question you get right, globally helping vulnerable communities and those in emergency situations.
Alongside this, as part of our commitment to delivering meaningful social value, every member of our team is given the opportunity to take a dedicated day away from work to volunteer for a cause that matters to them.
These efforts form a key part of our wider commitment to social value. By investing in our people and communities, we go above and beyond our core services, reinforcing who we are as a business and the values we stand for.
