Works at Epsom Fire Station are developing at pace, on behalf of Surrey County Council.

Externally, the scaffolding has now been removed from the drill tower following the successful completion of structural repairs, and inside the station, various improvements have been made throughout. The kit room is now fully operational and occupied by the firefighters, new flooring has been installed in the gym, and the locker room is undergoing redecoration works. The staircases have also been refreshed and modernised, with new flooring, upgraded lighting, and a fresh coat of paint.

In the coming weeks, the site will benefit from external security upgrades, consisting of new 3m high perimeter fencing and secure access gates.

The next phase of works will then focus on refurbishing the apparatus bays, where the station stores their vehicles and heavy-duty equipment. This will include lighting upgrades and a full redecoration, as well as the removal of the existing sink in the clean-up room to make way for new wet storage cupboards.
