Groundworks and internal demolition are now underway at the site of a new building for Portesbery School in Camberley, marking a significant milestone in the renovation of the former community centre.

Inside, the team is carefully reconfiguring the building to better meet the functional needs of the school. This includes removing internal walls, bricking up redundant doorways, and creating new openings where needed. Outside, groundworks are progressing smoothly, including the installation of a new drainage system.

Looking ahead, once the groundworks and internal reconfiguration are complete, the team will move on to casting the foundations and erecting steelwork to form the frame of the new extension at the front of the building.

This transformative project is being delivered on behalf of Surrey County Council in partnership with Norse Group. Once finished, the renovated building will provide a dedicated new space for older pupils to learn and thrive.
