MCS is delighted to announce the award of a significant new project by Surrey County Council. The project will see MCS undertaking a comprehensive programme of refurbishment works at Park Mead Primary School, located in Cranleigh, Surrey.

Spanning across three buildings and covering over 1,070 square metres, the scope of the works includes major strengthening and refurbishment of the school’s flat roofing systems. These essential upgrades are being implemented as part of a long-term maintenance strategy to replace aging facilities and enhance the overall performance and longevity of the school’s facilities.

To ensure minimal disruption to the school’s operations, the works will be executed in a carefully planned, phased sequence, developed in close collaboration with the school’s leadership team.

The external refurbishment will include the installation of new flat roof systems, replacement of cladding, fascia panels, and rainwater goods. Internally, the project will involve the installation of new ceilings, structural roof strengthening, upgraded fire detection systems, and a full lighting overhaul - including emergency lighting.

Additionally, MCS will streamline the school’s electrical infrastructure by rationalising the existing distribution boards, consolidating them into centralised distribution panels located within the main intake room.

This exciting project is scheduled to commence in June 2025.
