​Formerly a Victorian school, The Link now forms an integral extension to the Grade II listed St Bartholomew’s Church in Haslemere, Surrey. Commissioned by the Parochial Church Council of Haslemere, the project is being delivered in close partnership with Thomas Ford and Partners, Cooper Withycombe, and the CHP Group.

The scheme entails a comprehensive renovation of the building, including the creation of a new upper floor seamlessly incorporated within a reconfigured roof structure. This will accommodate a welcoming reception area alongside a series of versatile meeting rooms.

Accessibility has been established as a central priority, with the design incorporating step-free routes throughout, a lift serving the upper level, and fully accessible toilet facilities.

Scheduled for completion in Spring 2026, the transformation will ensure more efficient use of the existing footprint, substantially increasing both capacity and functionality. The renewed space will support the church’s daily operations while offering the wider Haslemere community affordable, flexible facilities to meet its growing needs.
