Roof Taking Shape in Winchester

The MCS team has been hard at work at the Winchester Cricket Pavilion, making steady progress despite the recent challenging weather conditions.

We’re pleased to share that all brickwork and wall plates are now complete, and roof truss installation is well underway — a key milestone in the project. The next phase will involve fitting the laminated beams in the roof, which will require careful coordination to protect the materials from rain. Once the beams are in place and covered, the team will move on to completing the roof structure.

Following the roofing works, our focus will shift to making the building watertight and ready for the installation of external doors and windows. The internal works will then commence, including underfloor heating, electrical and plumbing first fixes, and finally, floor screeding.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, members of the MCS team will be volunteering at Winchester Bonfire Night on Saturday 8th November. We’re proud to be providing use of our site and assisting with event logistics to help ensure everyone enjoys the evening safely. This much-loved annual event promises great food and drink stalls, a lively torchlight procession, a spectacular bonfire, and of course, a stunning firework display to round off the night. If you are in the area and would like to join the fun, please see:  www.winchesterbonfire.co.uk
