Significant milestones have been achieved recently at The Link Community Hub in Haslemere.
With the scaffolding now removed, the project is really beginning to take shape. The installation of the windows and completion of the zinc roofing have transformed the exterior, bringing the vision to life. Inside, screeding in the kitchen has been completed, lime render is finished, and acoustic flooring has been laid upstairs. The M&E first fix is now complete, and The Link’s oak structure connecting the church to the community hub has been successfully erected.
The next phase will see the installation of the lift in the new year, a key step in delivering one of the project’s core accessibility objectives.
Collaborating with Thomas Ford & Partners and CHP Group, the new community hub blends practical design with distinctive architectural design to create an inclusive, welcoming space for the local community, including step-free entrances and accessible toilet facilities.
