We are delighted to announce that MCS has been awarded the refurbishment project at Epsom Fire Station on behalf of Surrey County Council. This three-storey station plays a crucial role in local safety, and we are honoured to support its continued operation through essential upgrades.
Our scope of work includes significant improvements across both floors. On the ground floor, we will be refurbishing the male and female WCs and showers, alongside upgrades to the Stores, Breathing Apparatus, and Clean-Up Rooms. The large Appliance Bay will also benefit from redecoration and the installation of hard-wearing replacement flooring.
Upstairs, the first-floor kitchen will be fully refurbished, with alterations to the dormitory spaces and corresponding M&E enhancements, including updated ventilation, fire detection systems, and lighting. Both male and female WCs and showers will be modernised, with additional work involving door replacements, ceiling and lighting upgrades, new flooring, and full redecoration throughout the building.
Further works will include replacing the plant room door louvre and cast-iron downpipes, as well as undertaking structural repairs to the drill tower.
Importantly, all works will be delivered while ensuring the fire station remains fully operational - maintaining its vital role in serving the community.
We are set to commence on-site in September 2025.
