Mark Townsend Appointed as Site Manager

MCS is further strengthening its team with the appointment of Mark Townsend to the position of Site Manager.

With over three decades of experience in the construction industry, Mark has built an impressive career working with principal contractors to successfully deliver a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, and defence sectors.

Most recently, Mark played a pivotal role in the delivery of 12-15 High Street, Winchester for MCS in 2024. This ambitious project involved the extensive refurbishment of a 50,408 sq. ft., 150-year-old building. The scope of work encompassed a full internal strip-out, including all roof-mounted fixtures, M&E plant, and equipment, restoring the building to an empty shell.

The ground floor was then reconfigured into three compliant shell spaces to accommodate food and beverage tenants, alongside shopfront refurbishments, the installation of new entrance doors, and road modifications to facilitate new tenant risers and plant compounds.

Justin Whiteman, Managing Director of MCS, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Mark to the MCS team on a permanent basis. He brings a wealth of site management experience, a meticulous approach to project delivery, and as an amateur historian a particular passion for working with historic buildings. His expertise and dedication will be invaluable as we continue to uphold our commitment to excellence in construction and refurbishment projects."
