We are excited to share the progress on Perseid Lower School’s state-of-the-art facility for special educational needs, developed in collaboration with Barker Associates on behalf of the London Borough of Merton.
Over the past few months, substantial progress has been made on-site, with key structural elements now complete. The block and beam foundation, brickwork, and roof trusses have all been successfully installed, bringing the project one step closer to reality. With the outer shell of the extension nearly finished, the school’s expanded facilities are beginning to take form.
These advancements pave the way for the next phase of construction, which will focus on M&E installation and the completion of internal carpentry. In the coming weeks, we will also begin installing windows as part of the refurbishment process of the original building and also complete the roof covering across the entire structure.
With construction progressing smoothly and on schedule, we remain on track for project completion by the end of Summer. This ambitious refurbishment, remodelling, and expansion will significantly enhance the school’s capacity to provide exceptional learning environments tailored to students’ needs.
We look forward to sharing further updates with you as we continue building a brighter future for Perseid Lower School.
