On Saturday, 13th September, we were thrilled to join the Museum of Farnham in celebrating Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture (12–21 September 2025).

The museum came alive with family-friendly, hands-on activities, all inspired by the fascinating history of Willmer House, the beautiful Grade I Listed 1718 building that the museum calls home. Visitors explored the story of its construction, its past residents, and its place in Farnham’s history.

MCS added an additional splash of creativity and fun by hosting a ‘Design Your Dream Museum’ competition! Children got stuck into construction-themed games, tried on hard hats and high-vis vests, and let their imaginations run wild as they created their perfect museum.

We were blown away by the talent and imagination on display. A huge congratulations to our winning designers:

Shark Shop Museum – Otis (Age 1–6)

Colour Museum – Rena (Age 7–11)

Museum of Music and Video – Isaac (Age 12–16)

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable day celebrating history, heritage, and creativity!
