Progress at North Walls Cricket Pavilion in Winchester is moving ahead rapidly, with the building now taking shape beautifully.
Roof and guttering works are nearing completion, allowing the architectural vision to become clearly visible. Inside, screed has been laid in both the plant room and storeroom, providing a solid foundation for the next stages of construction. Electrical containment is fully installed, cable pulls are underway, and both mechanical and electrical contractors are on site, on schedule to complete the first fix before the festive break.
Looking ahead, solar panels are scheduled for installation this week, supported by newly erected scaffolding. These panels will enhance the pavilion’s functionality while bringing an eco-friendly element to the facilities, promoting a more sustainable future for the sporting venue. Following this, underfloor heating and additional screeding in the changing rooms and umpires’ rooms are set to be completed before the Christmas shutdown, ensuring the project enters the new year with excellent progress already in place.
