The transformation and modernisation of Epsom Library for Surrey County Council is entering its final stages, with completion just around the corner.
Over the past month, significant progress has been made with plastering and decorating finishes, M&E second fix, kitchenette installation, and the fitting of door access panels and movable wall partitions.
With these key tasks completed, the focus now shifts to the finishing touches, including: balancing the ventilation, completing the ceiling and fitting the vinyl flooring and carpets in preparation for the final site clean before handover and reopening the doors to library visitors.
Delivering this project within a busy, live shopping centre presented logistical challenges, but thanks to outstanding communication and coordination from our team, Surrey County Council and library staff, the work has progressed smoothly.
These vital upgrades will enhance the library’s facilities, improve energy efficiency, and align with Surrey County Council’s commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.
We look forward to unveiling the revitalised Epsom Library this spring.
