Dakota House Refurbishment Complete

We are delighted to complete and handover the refurbished ground-floor wing at Dakota House, located within the heart of the historic Brooklands Racing Circuit in Weybridge.

This project, which was our 80th project for Surrey County Council (SCC), involved the design development, detailed design, construction, fitting-out and commissioning of the works at this multi-tenanted contemporary office building owned by SCC.

Works involved the careful demolition and strip out of the wing area, followed by the formation of the new office layout, installation of mechanical and electrical services, fitting of internal walls, doors and windows, suspended ceilings and floor finishes.  In addition, externally, a new DDA compliant ramp was formed.

Upon completion, Damian Jenkins, Agile Office - Senior Programme Manager at Surrey County Council, said: “MCS were appointed by Surrey County Council to create a Contact Centre within an existing office building in Weybridge.

“Having worked in the building and successfully carried out a fast track fit out of the upper floors in 2021, MCS were well placed to win the tender and didn’t disappoint.

“The project needed to be completed on time to enable the Client to exit a leasehold property and generate revenue savings.

“It was completed on time, to a high standard and opened to the public at the end of May as requested.

“The site team were professional, helpful and dealt with additional requests, challenges and all that was thrown at them along the way!”
