Contract Award – Portesbery School

We are excited to announce the award of a new contract by Surrey County Council. The project will see MCS undertaking a complete extension and alteration of the existing Deepcut Community Centre into a post-16 facility for the adjacent Portesbery SEND School.

Works will include a single-storey extension from the main building, together with the alteration and renovation of the existing building. These refurbishments will consist of replacing the roof tiles, windows, and all external doors on the property.

The current outbuilding in the rear car park will be demolished to provide more space, and extensive work will be completed to the external landscape areas. Both the front and rear of the building will benefit from new hard and soft landscaping, as well as foul and surface water drainage.

This project will help pupils over 16 to have a separate space away from the lower school, which will be more tailored towards their needs, including new classrooms, hygiene rooms and a sensory garden.

In collaboration with Norse Group, MCS is excited to be a vital part of this transformation, providing eagerly awaited additional space to the school and its pupils.
