MCS is delighted to announce the award of a new project from Hurstpierpoint College to construct a new state-of-the-art competition swimming pool at their Estate near Hassocks in East Sussex.
Working in collaboration with Miller Bourne Architects, Wenham O’Brien, HOP Consulting and RED Engineering, MCS has been appointed to design and construct a steel framed Swimming Pool building that provides a 25-metre 6 lane swimming pool, conforming to ASA competition standards. The building, with many sustainability features, will also provide: changing rooms with toilets and showers; disabled changing rooms, store room and reception area.
Paul Hodges, Chairman of MCS, said: “We are delighted to be delivering yet another iconic project for Hurstpierpoint College.
“Our last new build project on the Estate was the award winning three-storey CLT and glulam frame performing arts centre, today known as The New Bury Theatre.
“This project was completed in 2018 and delivered on time and on budget and today provides the College with a flexible, 370-seat theatre that exploits the inherent warmth and serenity of timber.
“We look forward to delivering these new leisure facilities for the College.”
These works will commence in Autumn 2023.
