The new extension at Hilltop First School in Windsor comprises of a traditional construction incorporating trench fill foundation cavity, masonry super structure with tiled truss roof.  The new extension abuts to the existing reception class, which remained live throughout the construction works.

The 78m2 single storey extension includes a Monodraft hybrid heat recovery system suspended within the ceiling void serviced by external louvres that heat and cool the new nursery.

Today the new extension building provides new nursery facilities with toilets, new staff office, Staff WC and sensory room along with refurbished reception classes and teaching spaces.  To complete these works a new canopied decking area was formed with the associated drainage and services works.

Additional external works included landscaping and car park modifications.
