Project Description
Known as Project Lemon Tree, the new 24 bedroom accommodation facilities at Prior's Court School was completed in July 2017.
Prior's Court School is a registered charity, residential school and young adult provision, providing support for children and young adults with severe autism.
The project was challenging as it involved the difficult task of building in extreme building fabric robustness whilst trying to maintain a residential and homely feel to the properties, not to mention undertaking the construction works in the middle of a live school for vulnerable children and adults.
With good management of the site logistics, strong architectural detailing, high specification of materials coupled with the outstanding quality of the workmanship all of these elements were achieved with outstanding success.
MCS worked alongside the school Tuttle Architectural Services, Ridge & Partners LLP, Archibald Shaw (Structural Engineer) and Hurley Palmer Flatt (Services Engineers), DLA Ltd (Landscape Architects) along with various subcontractors to complete the contract.
