Project Description

​The works involved a major expansion of the school on a very tight and logistically challenging site.

​The layout and access of the school was completely changed; retained buildings were altered and extended, the old buildings and the original school were demolished and were replaced by a new large single storey extension, a new large two-storey block and extensive buried drainage and external works reconfigurations.

All the works had to be completed in seven pre-agreed sectional handover phases some of which ran concurrently with others, whilst the school remained operational. Very little of the original school remained at completion of the project.

​Working in conjunction with Surrey County Council and the staff at the school MCS were able to deliver this logistically difficult project to the agreed programme and budget. ​The school were very happy with the works and MCS has received glowing references from the project managers.

This project was awarded to MCS through a competitive tender process as we were approved as one of the 'Select Panel Contractors' for the SCC Primary School build programme.
