St John's School
We are delighted to receive the award of a further project from St John's School, Leatherhead, Surrey which is a fully co-educational independent school for 800 pupils aged 11 to 18.
Working in collaboration with Wenham O’Brien, Weyside Architects, Perega and L T Stamford, MCS has been appointed to carry out two phases of critical fast track works to deliver whilst the school is closed during the summer.
The first project, in the main building, involves the refurbishment and conversion of the existing basement to provide new changing room facilities. Works include the renewal of mechanical and electrical services, diversion of existing IT services, replacement of concrete floors, drainage installations and provision of specialist tanking system and FF&E.
The second project comprises the careful strip out and refurbishment of two first floor physics labs incorporating the prep/storeroom. Works in this area include the renewal of mechanical and electrical services and installation of new lab furniture. In addition, externally, carry out roof re-covering works over the two physics labs including renewal of a rooflight and infilling redundant rooflights.
These works are due to commence early July 2022.
