Yesterday saw the college Principal, Brett Freeman; Deputy Principal, Nuweed Razaq; Finance Director, Fiona Munday; Architect, Mark Penfold together with the MCS team commence the main construction works of their new facility, starting with the celebratory turf cutting ceremony.
Working in collaboration with Synergy Construction & Property Consultants LLP, Macallan Penfold Ltd Ltd and Price & Myers; MCS has been appointed to construct a new part two storey, part single storey teaching block together with a new car park.
This new building of 925m² will provide 8-classrooms, a supervised study area, along with staff work areas, offices and ancillary spaces. These new facilities would allow for the flexibility that the College requires to meet student needs in and outside of lessons.
Justin Whiteman, construction director at MCS said: “We are delighted to be working at Woking College and this builds upon our extensive experience within the education sector in the South East of England.
“We are committed to delivering this project that not only provides new stunning educational facilities to inspire, but also leaves a lasting legacy for years to come.”
