Salvaging and selling to benefit the community

We enjoy working closely with our clients to agree and deliver social value benefits into our local community in which we have worked for over 40-years. We are passionate about delivering positive benefits ranging from employment, education and training to community and environmental investment.

On our project at Guildford Lido for Guildford Borough Council we are running a large social value programme which runs alongside delivering their complex and very interesting construction project. One element of this programme is to salvage and sell what we can.

Upon commencing the project we were delighted to find 6 remaining, historic, Guildford Lido changing room doors and were thrilled to be able to sell each of these doors to local residents who frequent the pool for £30.00 per door.

All the monies collected were this week donated to Guildford Borough Council’s selected charity ‘Guildford Action’. This charity was set up over 30 years ago to provide a safe, non-judgmental refuge for people who have fallen on hard times. The organisation provides practical help with essentials like food, shelter, clean clothes and healthcare.
