Performance Beyond Compliance

The award under the Considerate Constructors Scheme follows a detailed inspection of all aspects of our work at the site. It covers our care about the appearance of the site, our respect for the local community, the environmental protection measures we have put in place, our site safety and the value we show to our workforce there.

Our team scored 7 or 8 out of 9 on all five categories to secure the award.

On behalf of Spelthorne Borough Council, MCS is constructing the Council's main temporary accommodation for local homeless households, Harper House. The building will provide 20 self-contained rooms of various sizes, two of the rooms will be wheelchair accessible. There will also be a communal laundry and an office from which an enhanced management and support service can be provided.

Paul Hodges, Managing Director, MCS, said: “Many congratulations to Site Manager Jason Nicholson and his team and operatives at Harper House. They are doing a great job and thoroughly deserve the award.”
