Mock Interviews At Carrington School

Yesterday three MCS colleagues as well as other volunteers from local businesses enjoyed participating at the annual mock interview day at Carrington School in Redhill, Surrey.

The idea behind inviting volunteers from local businesses to conduct the interviews is to provide a more ‘real life’ scenario for the students rather than if a teacher was to have carried out the interview.

Mock interviews are recognised as being an important part of a young person’s career education, preparing them for future job and college interviews. The mock interview helps them develop their interview strategies, enhances their communication skills by answering challenging questions, and though this experience eases their nerves that they may experience before an actual job interview.

MCS’s Marketing Manager, Tanja Clark; Intermediate Construction Manager, Danica Chambers and Estimating Manager, Simon Patrick, took part in this year’s event.
