As part of our social value commitment, MCS made a donation to the school in order for pupils to learn about helping growth in ways that protects the climate and environment, upon which we and future generations depend.
Last week we were delighted to receive some lovely feedback from the school headteacher, Sally Cave: “Thank you so much for the kind donation, the money has been spent on the following: multiple copies of the book: The Extraordinary Gardener by Sam Boughton; gardening tools; worms for composting and non-fiction books about composting.
“The children have shared the books many times and have been actively involved in tasks that have enabled them to learn about caring for the garden and how to compost. In this way they are learning about caring for our world and the cycle of growth and decay and how by composting we can support new growth.
“They are learning that in the natural world nothing is wasted and nothing needs to be thrown away.
“Thank you once again.”
