MCS is delighted to have been awarded an “Excellent” rating from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) for its work at Old Woking Community Centre in Old Woking, Surrey.
The award under the CCS follows a detailed inspection of all aspects of our work at the site. It covers our care about the appearance of the site, our respect for the local community, the environmental protection measures we have put in place and the value we show to our workforce.
Our team scored 41 out of 45 to secure the award.
The assessor said: “Whilst this can be described as a small site it is certainly very capable of achieving a very high standard of conformance against the Scheme's requirements. Excellent community liaison as recorded, an advanced approach to carbon reduction, and consideration for the 2023 requirement within the Workforce Section. Overall, an excellent standard achieved which is to be applauded.”
On behalf of Woking Borough Council, MCS was appointed to carry out extensive refurbishment and construction works at Old Woking Community Centre in collaboration with Synergy Construction & Property Consultants LLP, Macallan Penfold Chartered Architects, Price & Myers, J&B Hopkins Ltd and Woking College.
