We are delighted to officially announce the award of a new scheme from Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
Working in collaboration with Clarkson Alliance, Edgington, Spink & Hyne, Scott White Hookins and JDP Building Services, MCS has been appointed to design & build a stand-alone 675m2 2-storey 6th form teaching block at Windsor Girls’ School.
The new sixth form building will feature six classrooms, two offices, a meeting room, a breakout space, and toilet facilities.
The new building will have piled foundations and ground beams to support a steel frame with precast floors and roof deck. The building will have brickwork cladding with powder coated aluminium windows and doors. The inner leaf of the external walls will be constructed in secondary framing steelwork clad in boarding. The internal partitions will be lightweight steel studwork and plasterboard.
These works are due to commence in December 2022.
