Amazing accelerated progress is being made on the 2-storey extension at Study Preparatory School’s Wilberforce site in Wimbledon.
Once completed the new facility, designed by Nicholas Hare Architects, will provide a new reception leading to a welcoming exhibition space, which also acts as the hall foyer; a new performance hall is located to the front of the building with retractable seating linking to a first floor gallery.
An inviting, naturally day-lit staircase leads to the upper floor where the library will be located, in a prominent position placing learning at the forefront of the arrival to school.
Light and airy classrooms will be arranged over two floors, overlooking the playground, with cloaks and toilets easily accessible from the classrooms. Direct access to outside space is achieved by the introduction of balconies at first floor level.
The new facility will support the continued delivery of outstanding education at The Study.
