Historic buildings require a particularly sensitive approach to their restoration. Often of Listed status, these projects require a detailed knowledge of traditional forms of construction. Having worked on a number of National Trust properties, MCS have been regularly selected for our experience and specialist tradesmen through a variety of complex refurbishments on some of the country's most valued heritage landmarks.

Our own craftsmen combined with specialist sub-contractors have a wealth of experience of leadwork, tiling and liming techniques which make MCS the natural choice for this type of project.

Two commendations have been won by MCS under the Civic Trust Award Scheme for high profile specialist conservation projects. The refurbishment of the Painshill Park Waterwheel opened by HRH The Duchess of York and the restoration of the fire damaged Semaphore Tower at Chatley Heath for Surrey County Council.
